There are some users out there who have anticipated the chatrooms of MIRC and Yahoo’s Messenger – but that’s really an ancient story.

Since now the game is played elsewhere. With chat have become videochat and Snapchat -despite all the difficulties it faces- do break in America.

But in Europe Snapchat has not yet “caught” its audience. Something that we do not know if it will ever do, since everything looks like Instagram (bought by Facebook) has been set to take its job. To “kill” it as it is said in the internet hood.

How will it do that? By essentially stealing the main features of its competitor. It will “hit” it where it hurts: in video calls.

Ishan Agarwal, a young guy who has been set to expose the new plans of major internet companies, has made the photo below public, from Instagram’s depths. With images showing how the social network is getting ready to get into the direct calls and video calls market.

So forget the DMs. You probably also forget about Snapchat because, as stated by the valid and specialized TechCrunch:

“Adding voice and video calling will make Instagram a much better chat option than Snapchat“

So we’re afraid that slowly Snapchat (which nearly killed itself by Kylie Jenner) is close enough to R.I.P. (Rest In Peace)  situation, unfortunately.
