From a version of the operating system, Windows 10 S will become a Windows configuration, as announced by Microsoft.
According to Microsoft, Windows 10 S Mode will be a normal operating system configuration that will target educational institutions and businesses that want to give limited access to capabilities and tasks for their users. Microsoft’s initial idea was to create an operating system that could compete with Google’s Chrome OS, but that did not prove feasible. The Windows 10 S user could only use Windows Store applications on his computer rather than applications from other sources.
Microsoft will offer the S Mode configuration on all Windows versions without any additional charge. Specifically, Enterprise versions of Windows will have S Mode turned on, so that it can be used by the workforce, according to the operating rules of each business. The S Mode configuration will begin to be available from the upcoming Windows upgrade package and after.
The end user will be the one who will choose whether or not to use the Windows Mode S Mode.
