The ability to plan a trip according to his or her wishes and needs and to book the airline online gives a new Google service that comes in a few days in Greece. This is the Google flights service, where through the google.gr/flights platform the user can find the best results very easily and very quickly, as he spoke at the radio station of the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency “PRAKTOREIO 104,9 FM”, Mr. Dimitris Kosyfas, Head of Tourism Section, at Google Hellas.

Flight combinations, best prices, dates that fit, and details of what someone will have in front of their legs between the seats, whether a Wi-Fi, or a socket, is available on flight, as if -according to the history- this flight is often delayed, are indicatively some of the information that one may have at its disposal,

said Mr. Kosyfas.

Everyday, he said, millions of searches are made and it is estimated that more than 70% of people planning a trip use the internet for their research.

“With Google flights, you can find the flights that best meet your needs, what we call better flights -as the results are hundreds and the various combinations you can have are many- especially when you want to go to a destination, where there is no direct flight, but you want to go with another flight”,

stressed Mr. Kosyfas and added that -once the user has chosen the flight he likes- he is “transferred” to the provider’s or airline’s website, in order to proceed with the booking.

Google flights also gives the user the opportunity to locate alternative airports for its destination, at the lowest possible cost and -for the first time- will be informed about when ticket prices will increase and how much.
