The US Space Agency (NASA) has informed its staff by email that hackers have probably intercepted their personal data.
NASA suspects that two of its servers were infringed, containing details of its current and past employees . But he does not believe, according to the BBC, that cyber-attack threatens some of its space missions.
This is not the first time that such a cyber attack has taken place against NASA. In 2011, hackers had taken control of computers at NASA’s JPL, and in 2013 another attack by a group of Italian hackers had taken place.
The last incident began to be investigated from October 23 and is now revealed. The NASA administration has made it known that it is continuing its investigation to find out the extent of the violation, which will take time.
