Almost every day, we are increasingly relying on artificial intelligence to make our lives easier. Google searches, Facebook feed, and even predicting the next word we will type.
Many of us use Excel and perhaps this gives us a solution to our growing dependence on artificial intelligence. In an effort to facilitate day-to-day work with machines, Microsoft has repeatedly claimed that it will improve our lives without cutting jobs. The company adds a multitude of engineering tools to Excel spreadsheet software.

Spreadsheet users will be able to import engineering learning models for data analysis in Excel and the program will automatically recognize items such as company names, locations, and add data. Models could predict future sales figures, different scenarios at a time, or simply stand on any number of software analysis tools that have become particularly popular in sales and marketing. This also means that Excel will try to understand the links between your data as you enter, as if the words represent companies or people, and not just determine whether they are numbers or text.
“Excel has always been good with numbers and you can enter text using, conditional formatting and many similar ones”,
said Jared Spataro, Managing Director of Microsoft Office, to TechRrunch.
“We cite the idea that Excel can now recognize data types much more powerful than the above.”
Excel will also try to import data and visualize it automatically, something that Google sheets do already. For those who can encode, Excel will also accept Javascript and API calls from third-party services. All of this is undoubtedly boring, but they create a new, more manageable and incredibly functional Excel, yet another powerful tool for organizing and analyzing data.
