According to statements made by Microsoft’s vice president of Windows and “Xbox”, “Xbox Live” Gifts will soon be possible.
Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra, in response to a fan’s question on Twitter, said that we are not too far from presenting the ability for “Xbox Live” subscribers to send and receive as a gift a game title.
This feature is currently only available on Valve’s “Steam”, according to “Mobile Syrup”, but an “Xbox Live” subscriber will soon be able to use it.
As “Slashgear” points out, this feature has been a fixed request from “Xbox” owners for a long time, so the news that Microsoft will make this request was gladly accepted by a large portion of the gaming audience.
It is still too early to predict how such a service will work, but it is certain that it will find many applications on “Xbox Live” everyday life.
Analysts believe the first official information on the ability to send titles as a gift from one “Xbox Live” subscriber to another will be released as part of Microsoft’s presence at this year’s “Gamescom” next month.
