Microsoft aspires to emphasize the cloud for Office customers as it believes the majority of users will move there.

This trend is also evident in Office 365 subscriptions, which for the first time have brought more revenue than simple Office subscriptions. Microsoft, during the announcement of this year’s financial figures, noted that within the 2019 financial year, two-thirds of its users expect to be in the cloud.

With the same logic, Microsoft expects that 70% of Exchange and Outlook users will be in the cloud until 2019.

Microsoft seems to have a positive eye on the development of LinkedIn, for which it believes there is much to be done about integrating it with its other products. In the near future, many combined services are expected to emerge, as promised by the company.

One of the first steps to take is to have a common profile in Office 365 and LinkedIn, with data sharing and common identity between services. Similarly, Microsoft aspires to bring Dynamics 365 together with LinkedIn.
