NVIDIA presented the world’s most powerful graphics processor (GPU), as the company claims: It’s TITAN V, which, according to the company, is the most powerful GPU for a PC -at this moment- in the world and is based on the “most advanced GPU architecture”, NVIDIA Volta.

TITAN V was presented by the founder and CEO of the company, Zhenxing Huang, as part of the annual NIPS conference and -as highlighted in a relevant communication- excelled in computational processing for scientific simulations. Its 21.1 billion transistors deliver 110 teraflops of “horsepower” (computation power), nine times that of its predecessor, with improved efficiency and energy management.

“Our vision for Volta was to go beyond the boundaries of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. We went into new ground with this new processor architecture… with TITAN V, we bring Volta into the hands of researchers and scientists around the world,

Huang said.

As the company claims, the power of TITAN V is ideal for developers who want to use their PCs to work on areas such as artificial intelligence, deep learning and high performance computing. The cost of TITAN V is $2,999.
