Microsoft is preparing encrypted Skype calls

Microsoft is working with Signal Encryption app company to develop a new encrypted Skype feature called Private Conversations.

The new feature is already available for trial use at Skype Insiders. Application users will have encrypted end-to-end audio calls as well, as text messaging and the ability to transfer multimedia files using the Signal communication protocol.

“Private conversations” are supported on iOS, Android, Linux, Mac, and Windows Desktop. Messages can not be processed when they are used. Emoticons, files and audio messages can be sent.
