Microsoft moved, through a blogpost, to the announcement of a new “game streaming” service called “Project xCloud”, designed to bring popular titles in any kind of platform.
What “promises” the “Project xCloud” is the transfer of game titles in multiple playback platforms, ie from “console” to “PC” or even on a “portable device”.
As it became known, public service trials will begin next year, while the company is currently recruiting developers to develop content for the service to put this content into testing.
The tests will include playing game titles on “smartphones” and “tablets”, which will be played by “Xbox controls” (with wireless “Bluetooth” connection) or by touch.
In its communication, Microsoft points out that:
“We offer the user the freedom to play on whatever device he wants without being limited to a single device.”
Essentially, the basic idea behind “Project xCloud” is to allow gamers to play their favorite game on the device they feel more comfortable with, whether it is a “console”, a “computer” or a “portable device”.
