A few days ago, the Facebook application, Instagram, announced that it will finally change -after millions of users complain- the order of appearance of the posts.
In 2016, Instagram had decided to use a specific algorithm that chose the most important and most popular photos for its news feed, resulting in the appearance of posts of two, three or more days ago.
The company claimed that:
“with these changes, your homepage will be fresher and you will not miss the moments of the people you care about.”
Now, an Instagram spokesman told CNNi that the “very old material” will no longer be in the flow. He added, however, that this does not mean that a new method being tested will be returned to the old chronological order.
The spokesman revealed another change in the popular and favorite app: the new “New Posts” button that allows users to refresh their own homepage.
This change will solve the problem that annoyed a lot of people, which is that when you leave the application and then reopen it, Instagram does not get you to where you left, but at home.
But if the users wish to see new posts, they can see them by pressing the new button.
