Important vulnerability in Bluetooth devices

One of the most important risk seems to have been detected for all devices connected by Bluetooth.

More specifically, and according to ZDNet, researchers at Armis have identified about 8 security gaps on devices using the Bluetooth wireless protocol. The worst security gap is allegedly allowing a malicious user to take control over a device that is connected to someone else via Bluetooth.

The worrying thing that researchers have discovered is that an infected device could offer a gateway to access any other device with which it is wirelessly connected, especially in an office or shared area. The good thing is that for the majority of new Bluetooth-enabled devices, there will be corrective moves to be safe, but the problem will exist for older devices regardless the operating system.

According to researchers, the devices that seem to be most affected are Android suggestions, as well as the older models of iPhones and iPads. According to Microsoft, Windows Phones are not affected by the Bluetooth security gap.
