According to the annual security report issued by Google, significant security steps have been made for Android users, while in the 56 pages of this report it is noted that the Android operating system is as difficult to hack as it is Apple’s iOS . From 2015 onwards, Google has taken several steps to increase the level of security offered by Android operating devices to their users.

Last year, Google announced that it is creating Google Play Protect, most notably as a reminder that it is constantly testing its online store for potentially malicious applications. According to the information released by Google and referring to Extreme Tech, its machine learning technology successfully managed to detect 60.3% of malware on the Google Play Store. The remaining percentage of malware was detected in ways other than machine learning technology.

The problem of security flaws appearing on Android seems to come from Google’s absence from China, where it seems to be the source of most harmful Android apps, in which the most important thing is that the user is who chooses to accept to install applications from third-party sources.
