naftemporiki.gr Bookmarks: New feature on Twitter
Last month, Twitter had begun to work on a new tweets saving / storing feature that appears on the timeline so that the user can spot them or find them again in the future. Plus, this feature has been named, while testing is in progress.
As TechCrunch says, Tina Koyama, a company executive who wrote on Twitter, said that the company has chosen different versions / appearances for Bookmarks and will test them in the Twitter community. However, beyond that, the company has not revealed further details about Boobmarks.
Judging by what has been known so far, the related tool will most likely appear at the bottom right of a tweet on portable devices or in the menu from the “v” in the top right corner of desktop systems. It will coexist with other features such as sending a tweet to a message or creating a “Moment” (the term Twitter for stapling a series of tweets around a subject).
Twitter’s “heart” can be used as a way of storing / highlighting the tweet that the user wants to return and see later – but it tells the person to whom the tweet belongs that the other user did “like”. Bookmarking, for its part, will allow “confidential” storage without the other being taught.
“You told us you want the tweets you saved to be confidential, so you can see them only yourself”,
“We took this into account while we were creating designs for the feature.”
Also, although Bookmarks will be kept confidential, Twitter will give users the option to share them in tweet later if they so wish.
