Automatic conversion of greeklish into Greek on Android phones

A new keyboard for Android devices automatically converts greeklish into Greek. It’s about Google’s Gboard, which allows users to type words in Latin characters and then automatically change them into Greek.

The keyboard provides features such as GIFs, emojis, and Glide Typing and Google Search is built in. The application’s usefulness lies mainly in the fact that mobile users often type in Latin characters for convenience and speed, either by posting messages, sending mail, surfing using the English language, or writing something fast while the keyboard is already in English. With this new keyboard, the “translation” of the characters will be done automatically, keeping the Greek language self-esteem and intact.
