Google seems to be working on a new feature that will make your locomotion a little safer.
A new layer on the maps will highlight the light roads when you walk.
The news was not released by Google itself, but by the XDA Developers page.
According to their research, well-lit roads will be shown in yellow on maps. Very reasonable choice of color and very clever the idea of Google.
Although it seems certain, the news has not yet been confirmed and we do not even know when the launching of the feature is scheduled.
We also don’t know how Google can keep it up to date.
Of course it’s not always the lighting that makes a road more dangerous than another, but every little improvement helps.
