The free LibreOffice 7.0 office suite is available

LibreOffice 7.0 offers an extremely interesting alternative to paid office application suites.

With “LibreOffice” you can perform a variety of office tasks, such as writing texts, creating presentations and managing spreadsheets, at no cost, just as you would with any other “Office” suite.

Especially those users who see as a main disadvantage the inability to upgrade the office software they buy and do not want to go to a monthly subscription package like “Microsoft Office365”, then it would be good to take a closer look at the options offered by “LibreOffice”.

In its seventh version, the open source application software fully supports “OpenDocument Format 1.3”, with digital applications and other useful features. There is support for the “Skia” graphics package, along with the “Vulkan GPU”, for the design of graphics and images or other shapes, while compatibility with Microsoft programs has been upgraded. This practically means that sharing documents is easy between computers.

There are many minor or major upgrades to the latest version of “LibreOffice”, and it is worth noting that there is ongoing support for the applications and their upgrades whenever necessary. The complete package is understood to fully support the Greek language, with a built-in text-corrector and seamless operation, without incompatibilities.

This package is available on all operating systems and can be installed on computers running “Windows”, “Mac OS”, “Linux” and “Chrome OS”.

It is also possible to run the office applications directly from the “cloud”, simply with one Internet connection, without having to install the software.

In any case, in its newer version, “LibreOffice” gives many reasons to prefer it over other proposals, even businesses with many workstations that want a legal and free solution.
