Facebook Instant Articles announces support for both the Accelerated Mobile Pages platform and Apple News Format.
Facebook Instant Articles aspires to become a universal solution and has decided to open its content portals in both the Apple News Format solution for iOS devices and Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages project.
According to TechCrunch, the Facebook Instant Articles platform will have a renewed software development kit, with an extension that will allow content producers to create material for all three formats.
Through the Content Inventory tool for Facebook Instant Articles, one can define where he wants his content to appear, so that one can create his / her material once and publish it directly on any platform he / she wants.
The platform allows production, defining formatting elements, such as fonts, and then sending the material to each service.
The idea to extend the capabilities of Facebook Instant Articles is partly based on the Facebook Journalism Project and is expected to help consolidate the service.
