Malware has been detected that does not require user clicks!

A new malware was discovered, which does not require the user to click on it to infect a computer!

The malicious downloader installs a Trojan that aims to extract banking software, simply by moving the mouse over the corresponding link.

According to Engadget, researchers from Trend Micro and Dodge This Security have identified a new technique that cybercriminals have started to use, to fool each user. Together with the malicious email, there is a PowerPoint presentation, which has a link on it that uploads the malicious software to the computer.

Those who use a newer version of Microsoft Office receive a message asking them to download the malware, so they can be protected from automatic downloading.

Security company data shows that this trojan did not continue its expansion after May 25, 2017, but no one can say it has been eradicated. The purpose of this trojan was to intercept entry into online banking services.

The discovery of this method of installing a malware is worrying as we first encounter a malicious software that does not require a careless click to install it.
