One of the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic is the rapid increase in teleworking.

Many companies and organizations have had to continue their operations with their human resources now working remotely.

Understanding the needs of its customers for fast and secure service, either from home or from the workplace, “Barphone” created the “Barphone Secure Payment Application (BSPA)”. It is a tool available to the companies “retail” and “contact center”, as it allows the fast and secure payment process.

“BSPA”, which operates throughout the range of “Avaya Aura Contact Center” solutions, enables the “agent” to use a secure method of financial transaction through multiple communication channels.

The solution is compatible with the “PCI (Payment Card Industry) standard” and allows the secure transmission of sensitive debit or credit card information, using “DTMF” sounds for “voice calls”, or secure “web” links for chat or “email”. Sensitive transaction data is transmitted and used securely, minimizing risks and thus allowing alternative ways of working, such as “Work at Home”.

It is important to note that “BSPA” does not require changes in the development or configuration of the application to integrate it into any “web” purchase page, which leads to zero maintenance and resistance to change.

“zero integration” is also accompanied by improved security, so payment card details are covered and are not visible to the “agent” at any stage of completing online payments.

With a simple “drag & drop” action, the “contact center agent” can transfer the transaction details collected to any “web” checkout page.

With the provided “browser plug-in”, the “agent” monitors and controls the process of collecting payment card data and can guide the customer while maintaining confidentiality and secure data transmission. This is because the “agent” sees only “asterisk” characters instead of the actual digits, while at the same time the system provides visual indications of how many digits have been collected, if the card number is valid, the card type, etc.

“BSPA” means:

  • compatibility with “PCI”
  • security
  • “zero integration” and
  • protection of data, not the device.

“Barphone” “Diamond Partner” of “Avaya”, and with many years of experience in the field of telecommunications— proves once again that it is next to the customer and listens to his needs. With a strong team of 14 certified telecommunications engineers manages and administers directly and effectively every market challenge, remaining one of the leading companies in the field.
