Apple Vision Pro and the potential to change technology forever

Apple Vision Pro and the potential to change technology forever
Apple’s new innovation is called Vision Pro

Technology has always seemed to evolve faster than man, but in recent years it seems that its course has exploded and one innovation follows another, at a rapid speed. Silicon Valley’s big companies are scrambling to increase their market share every day, with the latest groundbreaking patent coming straight from Apple headquarters.

The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, personally presented the futuristic “Apple Vision Pro”, the first optical mixed reality device under the Apple brand.

Sophisticated, with innovative sensors and design, a curved screen and —as it seems— impressive lightness. It has spatial sound and an external battery but, above all, two 4K OLED screens that seem to cover a surface of 23 million pixels.

It offers integration with the rest of Apple’s ecosystem, while Cook’s statement was typical:

“This is the first product you look through, not at. And it’s the beginning of a new era for IT.”

A bright future

To be honest, we haven’t seen this kind of excitement for an Apple product since Steve Jobs launched the first “iPhone” in 2007. If that doesn’t sound like something “big”, then perhaps its price —which will range from $3,499— convince you. Although the “Vision Pros” have not been released on the market, as they are in an experimental stage, the Wall Street Journal has already characterized them as “the least conventional product in the history of Apple”.

In fact, they are a “revolutionary” extension of the Metaverse. With these and the “VisionOS” operating system —specially optimized for a fully 3D working environment— you’ll be able to have a blank canvas that’s no longer subject to the limitations of traditional monitors.

“Just as the “Mac” introduced us to personal computing and the “iPhone” to mobile computing, “Vision Pro” introduces exciting new opportunities for our users. It is unlike anything else that has been created before it.”

added Tim Cook.

All we can think about at the moment is that once again, reality surpasses all imagination and we are curious how they will affect our daily lives in the coming years.
